Kathy Gould Lundy

Kathy Gould Lundy is this year's Keynote speaker.  This year, the Keynote Address will take place in the evening on Thursday, Oct 23rd in the Hemisphere North Restaurant of the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel (same location as the conference).

Kathy Gould Lundy is presently Coordinator of Destination Arts at York University, Toronto, Ontario. She has been a teacher, consultant and co-ordinator for over 30 years in the Toronto District School Board. She has extensive experience working in literacy and drama education. Kathy worked with the Canadian Education Association and twenty-seven high school students from three Canadian cities (Halifax, Toronto and Vancouver) to create a drama collective called “Imagine a school....”

Kathy has written a number of books for teachers: What Do you Do About the Kid Who…? Pembroke, (2004), In Graphic Detail (with David Booth) Scholastic/Rubicon (2006) and Leap into Literacy: Teaching the Tough Stuff so it Sticks (2007). She has also been involved in writing books for the Bold Print (Nelson) and Time Line (Scholastic) series.
